Reseller FAQ
Questions people ask before becoming a reseller.
These answers focus on the practical parts of the reseller model: credits, pricing, customer management, setup, and support.
What is the EagleCast TV reseller program?
The reseller program is designed for people or businesses that want to manage customer subscriptions through a reseller panel instead of purchasing one subscription at a time. You purchase reseller credits, then use those credits when creating or renewing customer subscriptions. Your own customer pricing and sales process remain separate from the wholesale credit system.
How do reseller credits work?
Credits act as the balance used inside the reseller panel. A 1-month customer subscription uses 1 credit, 3 months uses 3 credits, 6 months uses 6 credits, and 12 months uses 12 credits. The calculator on this page can help you work out the balance needed for a batch of customers before you choose a credit pack.
How many credits does one customer use?
It depends on the subscription length you create for that customer: 1 month = 1 credit, 3 months = 3 credits, 6 months = 6 credits, and 12 months = 12 credits. Renewals use credits in the same way, so it helps to keep enough balance available for both new customers and renewals.
Which reseller credit pack should I start with?
Start with the pack that matches your realistic short-term customer volume, not the largest pack automatically. The 120-credit pack is easier to test with, while larger packs reduce the cost per credit. If you are unsure, contact reseller support with the number of customers you expect to manage and the subscription lengths you plan to sell.
Can I choose my own retail prices?
Yes. The reseller credit pack determines your wholesale credit cost; the price you charge your own customers is your business decision, subject to applicable laws, taxes, payment costs, and EagleCast TV policies. A sensible way to price is to calculate your cost per customer first, then add the margin that fits your market and support workload.
Can I create trials for potential customers?
Trial creation may be available through supported reseller-panel features. Use trials selectively for genuine prospects rather than sending them broadly, and confirm the current trial rules with reseller support before building them into your sales process.
Can I manage renewals from the reseller panel?
The reseller workflow is built around creating and renewing customer subscriptions from one panel. Before a renewal, check the customer’s requested term and your available credit balance so you know exactly how many credits the renewal will use.
Can I create sub-reseller accounts?
Sub-reseller functionality may be available on supported reseller accounts. If you plan to build a team or let another seller manage their own customers, ask reseller support which account structure is appropriate before you purchase a pack.
What devices can my customers use?
Device compatibility depends on the customer’s device, operating system, and the compatible application being used. For device-specific instructions, use the
EagleCast TV Installation Guides rather than giving every customer the same setup steps.
What should I send support if a customer has a technical issue?
Send the device model or device type, the application name, the exact problem, any visible error message, and the troubleshooting already attempted. For account-specific questions, include the relevant order or customer reference. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, or full payment-card details.
Do I need advanced technical skills to become a reseller?
You do not need to manage streaming servers yourself to use a reseller panel, but you should be comfortable with basic web dashboards, customer communication, following setup guides, and collecting the right troubleshooting details before escalating an issue.
Are there rules I should follow when reselling?
Yes. Resellers should use the service lawfully, follow EagleCast TV’s current
Terms of Service and other published policies, communicate accurately with customers, and avoid making guarantees that are not stated by EagleCast TV. Review the legal pages before you begin selling.
